The power of the mind

How good are you at creating what you really want?

The mind is an incredibly powerful tool. Because it is so complex, it’s almost impossible to fathom how powerful it actually is. Things such as will- power, perseverance and even the ability to shape a future come from this grey and white matter stored inside the cavity inside your head.

Recently, one of the things which truly struck me and had me in awe occurred last week when I was preparing my weekly Tuesday blog post and scrolling through some unfinished thoughts and posts. I had a folder of “ideas for 2015” and in it had written some phenomenal (and some not so phenomenal) ideas haha. One of the ideas I had written down in 2015 is now being executed by one of the world’s biggest online stores… something along the lines of virtual payment communities… I’ll leave the hints there. But truly, I think this is incredible!

How can someone “stealing” or living what you’ve planned and dreamed for so long be an incredible thing? It’s a simple concept really. Powerful thoughts are addictive and ideas are just hot air- until you put in the work. When you discover the list of all the things you failed to execute/ missed opportunities if you may, it is very easy to feel cheated, panicked and like you missed out. This is a scarcity mentality. Instead, I encourage you rather to take the stance of seeing it in this way:

YOUR MIND IS A POWERFUL TOOL. IF YOU CAN THINK SOMETING UP NOW, YOU CAN UNDERGO THE PROCESS AND DO IT AGAIN. THERE IS NO END IN CREATING OR EVOLVING, WE JUST DECIDE TO STOP.

Neurologists have stated that we only understand roughly 10% of the brain’capability. Which basically means that we use 100% of its capabilities but can only logically interpret and comprehend 10%. It’s obvious that this complex organ can do way more than we give it credit for.

So my question to you is, what are you doing with your brain today to make sure you are building the future your brain has helped you imagine?

I love that! I think for me it’s about those small steps one takes towards making a goal a reality such as writing the goal down, seti g a timeframe and also visualizing it. “If you can dream it, you can achieve it!” Visualization is key…
